2019 General Election

As a proud Labour supporter, the revelation of the general election results is something I was far from expecting. I thought maybe the Conservatives could just about win again, due to the Brexit ordeal, and general unjustified thoughts of most conservative supporters, especially at my age... but watching the clear wash of blue taking over the UK was not what I was anticipating last night - but more specifically in Wales. My family couldn't have been more devastated. It is something unheard of from where I am from - historically a labour washed area, and now turned tory-towns. Madness. My mum cried, as did my grandparents, which really does terrify me as clearly they dread me growing up in a 'United' Kingdom lead by the one and only fool that is Boris Johnson.

(My granddad is the cutest person, ever)

On a real one, if anyone had told me a few years back that Boris Johnson would be prime minister, and Donald Trump president of the United States, I actually would've found it a hilarious joke. Scary huh?

Steering away from all these negative thoughts is something I really did love; Corbyn's Coat.

Taken from The Guardian's instagram (@guardian), he appears to be wearing a simple, pattered suit with red stripes. But here's my favourite part; looking closely you notice the Labour party's concise yet effective message printed all over - 'FOR THE MANY NOT THE FEW':

I adore this message, reinforcing what the party stand for and highlighting their true intentions. I love the quirkiness of the slogan being intwined within a clothing statement. In your face yet so subtle. Ultimately this proves to me that you don't need to scam Twitter readers by creating fake pages, just like the tory's did, in the most embarrassing way (https://www.independent.co.uk/life-style/gadgets-and-tech/news/general-election-tories-twitter-fact-check-uk-conservative-party-fake-account-a9210356.html). It's the little details that truly make a difference and show the dedication and thought process of the party, and it is a real shame more people weren't educated sensibly, and were brainwashed by all the tory propaganda evident from Thursday's result.
